Tasmania regulation
These regulations amend the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 to introduce provisions relating to taxis and luxury hire cars, and they take effect when the Taxi Industry Regulations 2018 commence (reg 2). The instrument itself mainly cross‑references and incorporates the changes into the authorised version of the principal regulations (regs 3–5). The practical effect is to shift responsibility for implementing the new taxi‑related enforcement rules to the principal regulations and to the Department of State Growth, which administers them.
