Tasmania regulation
These regulations amend the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 by incorporating updates into the authorised 2017 instrument (regs 4–8). They take effect on the day the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2021 commence (reg 2).
Who’s affected: drivers, vehicle owners, enforcement officers and the Department of State Growth. Why it matters: the instrument alters the regulatory text that sets compliance and enforcement obligations and administrative discretion; the practical cost and behaviour impacts depend on the specific amendments now incorporated into the principal regulations.
