These regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment (Passenger Transport Reform) Regulations 2023 .

Tasmania regulation
These regulations update the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 so those enforcement rules align with the new passenger‑transport regime created by the Taxi and Hire Vehicle Industries Regulations 2023. They come into force only when that taxi/hire‑vehicle instrument starts (reg 2) and are administered by the Department of State Growth. The principal immediate effect is to shift compliance obligations and enforcement alignment onto taxi and hire‑vehicle operators and the authorised enforcement agencies (regs 2–3).

These regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment (Passenger Transport Reform) Regulations 2023 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which the Taxi and Hire Vehicle Industries Regulations 2023 commence.
In these regulations, the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
The amendments effected by this regulation have been incorporated into the authorised version of the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 .
