9 Appointment of inspectors, &c. (1) The Director may appoint such inspectors and officers as the Director thinks necessary for the purposes of this Act. (2) In addition to the powers conferred, and the functions imposed, on an inspector or officer under this Act, an inspector or officer shall have and may exercise such powers and perform such functions of the Director as the Director determines. (3) The Director may, in writing, appoint a person to be an authorised person under the Australian Road Rules.
