42 Continuation of provisional licence If: (a) a court finds a person guilty of an offence against this Act or the Motor Vehicles Act 1949; and (b) the person's licence to drive a motor vehicle is provisional at the time of the finding of guilt; the court may, in addition to imposing any other penalty, order that the provisional period be extended by not less than 3 months and not more than 12 months.
