10A Powers of Registrar (1) For this Act, the Registrar may, in writing, approve types or classes of the following: (a) helmets for use by riders and passengers of motor cycles; (b) helmets for use by riders of bicycles; (c) seatbelts for use by drivers and passengers in motor vehicles; (d) seats, restraints, harnesses and other safety equipment used by children in motor vehicles. (2) The Registrar may, in writing, authorise a person or a class of persons to be an emergency worker under the Australian Road Rules.
