28A Grant of tradespersons’ certificates
If a Local Committee is satisfied, upon application by any person, that that person: (a) has been employed in Australia for not less than seven years after the 30 October 1941, on work ordinarily performed by a tradesperson; and (b) was so employed at any time within one month before the commencement of the Tradesmen’s Rights Regulation Act 1952 or, but for special circumstances which prevented him or her, would have been so employed; and (c) has passed an examination approved by the Committee, at a standard approved by the Committee; the Committee may, if it thinks fit, grant to that person a tradesperson’s certificate.
