sec.53 Restriction on obtaining further towing authorities until first motor vehicle towed

This section applies if the holder of a driver accreditation obtains a towing authority authorising the holder— to tow a motor vehicle damaged in an incident in a regulated area from the scene of the incident; or to tow a motor vehicle seized in a regulated area from the place of seizure. The holder must not, either directly or indirectly, obtain or attempt to obtain a towing authority for another motor vehicle until the motor vehicle mentioned in subsection (1) has been towed to the premises stated in the towing authority for the vehicle. Maximum penalty—20 penalty units. (sec.53-ssec.1) This section applies if the holder of a driver accreditation obtains a towing authority authorising the holder— to tow a motor vehicle damaged in an incident in a regulated area from the scene of the incident; or to tow a motor vehicle seized in a regulated area from the place of seizure.
