80 Inquiries
> > (1) The Secretary may conduct an inquiry into any matter that is connected with the tow truck industry.
>
> > (2) Without limiting the reasons for conducting an inquiry, the Secretary may (but is not required to) conduct an inquiry into any matter concerning any licensee or certified driver for the purposes of deciding whether to take disciplinary action under Division 4 of Part 3 against the licensee or driver.
>
> > (3) If the Secretary decides to conduct an inquiry under this section, the Secretary may, by notice in writing served on any person, require the person—
> >
> > > (a) within such reasonable time as may be specified in the notice, to provide the Secretary with such information, and to produce such documents in the person’s possession or under the person’s control, as may be required for the purpose of the inquiry and as may be specified in the notice, or
> >
> > > (b) to attend at a time and place specified in the notice before the Secretary, and at such other times as may be required by the Secretary, to give evidence concerning any matter the subject of the inquiry, and to produce such documents in the person’s possession or under the person’s control as may be required for the purpose of the inquiry and as may be specified in the notice.

> > (4) In conducting an inquiry under this section, the Secretary may—
> >
> > > (a) examine any person on oath, and for that purpose the person presiding at the inquiry may administer an oath, and
> >
> > > (b) arrange for the services of an Australian legal practitioner to assist the Secretary.
