Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Ordinance applies the Western Australian Tobacco Sellers Licensing Act 1975, as it stood on 30 June 2000, to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands from 1 July 2000. Tobacco sellers in the Territory become subject to the WA Act’s licensing, compliance and penalty regime; the Ordinance imports those details by reference and freezes them at that 2000 version (it does not set fees or amend the adopted law).
