sec.194 Power to direct person to stop smoking
This section applies if an authorised person finds a person contravening a smoking prohibition. The authorised person may direct the person to stop smoking. When directing the person to stop smoking, the authorised person must tell the person it is an offence not to comply with the direction. In this section— smoking prohibition see section 223 (2) . s 194 ins 2001 No. 20 s 37 amd 2006 No. 46 s 298 ; 2014 No. 65 s 64 ; 2016 No. 6 s 20 ; 2023 No. 16 s 54 (sec.194-ssec.1) This section applies if an authorised person finds a person contravening a smoking prohibition. (sec.194-ssec.2) The authorised person may direct the person to stop smoking. (sec.194-ssec.3) When directing the person to stop smoking, the authorised person must tell the person it is an offence not to comply with the direction.
