36J Copies of seized documents

S. 36J(1) amended by No. 51/2024 s. 24.

(1) If an inspector or a police officer retains possession of a document seized from a person under this Part, the inspector or police officer must give the person, within 21 days after the seizure, a copy of the document certified as correct by the inspector or police officer.

(2) A copy of a document certified under subsection (1) shall be received in all courts and tribunals to be evidence of equal validity to the original.
