Tasmania regulation
Threatened Species Protection Order 2024 updates the authorised text of the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 by incorporating specified amendments into that Act (cl.3; cls 4–6). The Order takes effect when its making is notified in the Gazette (cl.2). It does not itself set out new regulatory duties or penalties; its legal effect is to record and publish the amendments so they form part of the Principal Act. The Order is administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (administration note).
