Rick Speare was privileged to act as consultant to DEH for this TAP. He was ably assisted by Lee Berger whose PhD thesis (Berger 2001) formed the basis of the Background. Keith McDonald’s comments immensely improved the accuracy of Table B.1. Participants in the TAP Workshop held in Canberra 23–24 July 2003 provided valuable input into improving the Background and in drafting Actions. The TAP Review Team members (Alex Hyatt, Marion Anstis, Graeme Gillespie, Ron Herring, Harry Hines, Michael Mahony, Dale Roberts, and Rupert Woods) provided helpful comments and guidance used to refine the draft TAP. Much needed secretarial assistance was provided at SPHTM by Jillian Gilbert and Ari Gardener. Enthusiastic support and expert guidance was provided by Narelle Freestone, Robert Moore, Damian McRae and Andrew Copp at DEH.
