sec.6 Interpretation of applied laws
This section applies to a Commonwealth law (an applied law ) applied as a law of Queensland under this Act. The Acts Interpretation Act 1901 (Cwlth) applies in relation to the interpretation of an applied law as if the applied law were a Commonwealth law and not a Queensland law. To the extent subsection (2) applies, the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 and Statutory Instruments Act 1992 do not apply in relation to the interpretation of the applied law. (sec.6-ssec.1) This section applies to a Commonwealth law (an applied law ) applied as a law of Queensland under this Act. (sec.6-ssec.2) The Acts Interpretation Act 1901 (Cwlth) applies in relation to the interpretation of an applied law as if the applied law were a Commonwealth law and not a Queensland law. (sec.6-ssec.3) To the extent subsection (2) applies, the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 and Statutory Instruments Act 1992 do not apply in relation to the interpretation of the applied law.
