Tasmania act
This Act incorporates amendments into the authorised versions of the Police Powers (Public Safety) Act 2005 and the Terrorism (Preventative Detention) Act 2005 (ss3–6), starts on Royal Assent (s2), and automatically repeals one year after commencement (s7). It temporarily changes legal powers, duties and compliance obligations for people and agencies covered by those Acts; affected parties bear any compliance or legal costs and decisions under the amended provisions remain with authorised officers and courts under the relevant Acts.
