82 Power to move vehicles under special powers (1) A police officer may move or cause to be moved a vehicle that is parked or left standing in a target area if the officer considers, on reasonable grounds, that the vehicle is— (a) a danger to other vehicles or people in the target area; or (b) causing or likely to cause traffic congestion in the target area; or (c) hindering the exercise of powers under this division in the target area. (2) A police officer acting under this section may— (a) enter a vehicle, using any reasonably necessary force, for the purpose of moving it; and (b) move the vehicle, or cause it to be moved, to the nearest convenient place.
