27R Power to stop, detain and search etc. (1) If a police officer reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to protect the safety of any person, including the officer, who is in or near the suspect place when a covert search warrant is being executed, the warrant authorises the officer to exercise the following powers: (a) to stop and detain a person who is in the place; (b) to search the person; (c) to order the person to leave the place or its vicinity; (d) to order a person not to enter a place or its vicinity; (e) to seize and retain any weapon or other thing in the place that could endanger a person. (2) For section 112(1) of the Criminal Code, a person detained under subsection (1)(a) is in the lawful custody of the officer while so Subdivision 3 Execution and currency of covert search warrant
