12A Power to give directions to public authorities (1) The Commissioner or other police officer mentioned in section 8(1) may, for facilitating the exercise of the special powers conferred by this Part, give a public authority directions in relation to the exercise or performance of the authority's powers or functions. (2) The authority must comply with the direction. public authority includes an Agency, statutory corporation and local government council and any member or officer of a public authority, but does not include a parliamentary or judicial body or its members or officers
