37F Annual reports of Chief Commissioner (1) The Chief Commissioner must submit a report to the Minister that includes the following information in respect of each financial year— (a) covert search warrant information; (b) detain and decontaminate information; (c) police detention decision information; (d) preventative detention order information; (e) special police powers information; (f) any other information that the Minister considers appropriate and specifies in writing to the Chief Commissioner. (2) The report must be submitted to the Minister as soon as practicable but no later than 3 months after the end of each financial year. (3) The Chief Commissioner must advise the Minister of any information included in the report that, in the Chief Commissioner's opinion, should be excluded from the report before the report is laid before Parliament because the information could reasonably be expected to— (a) endanger a person's safety; or (b) prejudice an investigation or prosecution; or (c) compromise operational activities or methodologies of Victoria Police. (4) The Minister must exclude from a copy of the report to be laid before the Parliament under subsection (5) information on which the Minister has received advice under subsection (3) if the Minister is satisfied of any of the grounds under that subsection in relation to that information. (5) The Minister must cause a copy of the report to be laid before each House of the Parliament within 12 sitting days of that House after the Minister receives it.
