21K Exercise of special powers by police officers and protective services officers S. 21K(1) amended by Nos 37/2014 s. 10(Sch. item 167.43(a)), 32/2018 s. 51(2). (1) The special powers conferred by this Part may be exercised by any police officer or protective services officer or, subject to subsection (3), by any other person assisting the police officer or protective services officer in that exercise and acting under the direction and control of the police officer or protective services officer. (2) A police officer or protective services officer may exercise those powers whether or not he or she has been provided with a copy of the authorisation.
