Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

The Television Licence Area Plan (Tasmania) 2012 sets the legally recognised geographic area for television licences in Tasmania and so determines which broadcasters and services fall inside that licence area. It matters to broadcasters and the licensing regulator because those boundaries are used for licensing and technical planning. The plan was registered 13 Dec 2012, commenced 10 Apr 2013, and sections 5–7 were amended by a consequential instrument in 2017 (commenced 30 Sep 2017).
