Plain English Summary

6/10 complexity

This instrument sets the television licence area plan for regional Queensland: it defines licence-area boundaries and the planning details that determine where broadcast licences apply. It governs how broadcasters and applicants plan technical services and comply with licence-area rules.

It affects regional broadcasters and licence applicants (who bear compliance and technical-planning costs) and the regulator (who applies and enforces the plan). The plan was altered by variations in 2016 and consequential amendments in 2017, which change operational detail and scope.
