Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This legislative instrument adopts by reference the ACA TS 014 – 1997 technical standard to set mandatory rules for customer equipment connecting to Australia's ISDN Primary Rate Interface (30-channel) networks. It makes those external technical requirements legally binding without repeating them in the Act.
It affects manufacturers, businesses using PBX/ISDN equipment, and carriers, ensuring safety, electrical compatibility and interoperability of devices on legacy ISDN networks.
