#### 185 Retention of authorisations (1) The head (however described) of an enforcement agency must retain an authorisation made under Division 4 of Part 4‑1 by an authorised officer of the enforcement agency for the period of 3 years beginning on the day the authorisation is made. (2) The Commissioner of Police must retain an authorisation made under Division 4A of Part 4‑1 by an authorised officer of the Australian Federal Police for the period of 3 years beginning on the day the authorisation is made. (3) This section does not limit subsection 187N(3).
