##### 286 Evidence (1) A certificate issued by AUSTEL stating any matter in relation to customer equipment, customer cabling or a permit or cabling licence is prima facie evidence of the matter. (2) Without limiting subsection (1), the matters that may be certified under that subsection include: (a) whether there is in force a permit for the connection to a telecommunications network of particular customer equipment, or customer equipment of the same type; or (b) whether a person is a licensee; or (c) whether the performance of particular cabling work contravenes conditions included in a particular cabling licence. (3) A document purporting to be a certificate under subsection (1) must, unless the contrary is established, be taken to be a certificate and to have been properly given.
