##### 255 Sale of customer equipment for which there is no permit A person must not sell or supply, or offer to sell or supply, to another person customer equipment that the person knows, or ought reasonably to know, is customer equipment the connection of which to a telecommunications network would be contrary to subsection 253(1), without first notifying the other person, as prescribed by the regulations: (a) that there is no permit in force for connection of the equipment to a telecommunications network; and (b) if the regulations so provide—about the consequences of connecting the equipment to such a network without a permit. Penalty: 120 penalty units.
