4 Intent of Act
(1) [Section 4 Subsection (1) substituted by No. 61 of 2011, s. 8, Applied:01 Jul 2013] The intent of this Act in respect of taxi services is to promote a safe, demand-responsive, taxi transport system that adequately meets the needs of consumers and is appropriately licensed.
(2) [Section 4 Subsection (2) substituted by No. 61 of 2011, s. 8, Applied:01 Jul 2013] The intent of this Act in respect of luxury hire car services and restricted hire vehicle services is to ensure that such services are appropriately licensed.
