Tasmania regulation
This Order fixes the "premium component" used to calculate tax interest under the Taxation Administration Act 1997 (for section 35(4)(b)) at 4% (s3). It therefore affects taxpayers who owe interest on tax liabilities and the revenue agency that applies the statutory interest formula. Mechanically, it sets a numeric input used in future interest calculations (Order s3); it does not add new reporting duties but changes the amount payable by those with outstanding tax debts.
