#### 60‑70 Meetings (1) At a meeting of the Board, a majority of \*Board members constitutes a quorum. (2) A question arising at a meeting is decided by a majority of the votes of the \*Board members present and voting. (3) The \*Chair presides at all meetings at which he or she is present. If the Chair is not present, the \*Board members present must appoint one of themselves to preside. However, the member appointed to preside must not be: (a) a person who holds any office or appointment (other than as a Board member) under a law of the Commonwealth; or (b) a person appointed or engaged under the Public Service Act 1999. (4) The \*Board member presiding at a meeting has a deliberative vote and, if necessary, a casting vote. (5) The Board may regulate proceedings at its meetings as it considers appropriate. > Note: Section 33B of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 provides for participation in meetings by telephone etc.
