Tasmania regulation
This Order moves Forensic Science Services Tasmania out of the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment and into the Department of Police and Public Safety, effective 1 July 2000. It shifts responsibility for the agency’s staff, assets and functions to the police department and names the Department of Premier and Cabinet as the instrument’s administrator, so implementation costs and operational changes fall to the receiving department.
