### 27 Continuation and institution of proceedings, &c. > > (1)  This section applies to any legal or other proceeding, or judgment or order of a court, that relates to a Crown asset or liability. > > > (2)  On and after the transfer day – > > > > > > (a) any legal or other proceedings instituted by or against a port company before, and pending on, the transfer day may be continued by or against the Crown; and > > > > > > > (b) any legal or other proceedings in respect of a Crown asset or liability that, immediately before the transfer day, could have been instituted by or against a port company may be instituted by or against the Crown; and > > > > > > > (c) a judgment or order of a court obtained before the transfer day by or against a port company may be enforced by or against the Crown; and > > > > > > > (d) a document relating to legal or other proceedings that has been served on or by a port company before the transfer day is taken, where appropriate, to have been served on or by the Crown.
