Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This proclamation uses the power in section 2 of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (Tasmania) Act 2013 to set 30 March 2015 as the day section 31 of that Act comes into force. It does not change the wording of the Act; it only fixes when that particular provision starts to apply. The Governor, acting with Executive Council advice, makes the timing decision; who pays and what compliance is required depend on the substantive obligations in section 31 once commenced.
