This proclamation formally declares a set of named land parcels as conservation areas, regional reserves, or a nature recreation area under the Nature Conservation Act 2002 and records their sizes and plan references. It fixes the legal identity and mapped boundaries of those parcels (Schedules 1–2) and assigns administration to the Department of Primary Industries and Water. It therefore changes the legal status of the listed land and affects those who manage, use or regulate those parcels.
