Tasmania regulation
This proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 formally declares six named parcels of land as Conservation Areas or Nature Recreation Areas and attaches mapped plans for each. It was notified in the Gazette on 25 December 2002. Mechanically, the proclamation changes the legal status of those parcels so the Act’s protections, management rules and permitted‑use restrictions apply. The Department of Tourism, Parks, Heritage and the Arts administers these areas, bearing management and enforcement costs while users face new access and permit rules under the Act.
