Tasmania regulation
This proclamation, made under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970, formally declares specified parcels of land as the Sherwood Hill Conservation Area, the Spinning Gum Conservation Area and the Leven Canyon Regional Reserve and publishes associated plan maps. It was notified in the Gazette on 4 April 2001 and is administered by the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.
By placing those parcels under the Act, the proclamation brings them into the Act’s management and use regime: the Department makes and enforces decisions about those lands, and land users and managers must comply with the Act’s rules.
