Tasmania regulation
This proclamation establishes the Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair area as a national park under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 and fixes its boundaries by reference to an attached plan (map). It was published in the Gazette on 27 December 2000 and is administered by the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.
Mechanically, the proclamation makes the department responsible for managing the mapped area (bearing management costs and duties); people using or occupying land inside the mapped boundaries must follow the park rules that apply there.
