This proclamation declares the land listed in Schedule 1 to be the Tathams Lagoon Conservation Area under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 and attaches a map in Schedule 2. It is administered by the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment (notified in the Gazette 2 August 2000). Administration and compliance follow the NPW Act, meaning the department handles management costs and people or activities within the mapped area become subject to the Act's conservation rules (Schedule 1; Schedule 2).
