Tasmania regulation
This proclamation, made under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970, formally declares the Marion Bay Spit Conservation Area and publishes the accompanying plan (map). It was notified in the Gazette on 23 December 1998 and is administered by the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.
Mechanically, the instrument creates a legally designated conservation area with boundaries shown on the attached plan and therefore affects anyone who owns, manages, visits or regulates that land. The proclamation does not itself set detailed rules, fees or permits; those follow from the Act and administration.
