Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument revokes an earlier Tariff Concession Order (TCO 0515677) and replaces it with a new TCO (0614098) that reclassifies the plant growth regulator forchlorfenuron under tariff heading 3808.93.00 and applies Schedule 4, Part III item 50. The change, made by a delegate of the Chief Executive Officer under s.269SD(2) of the Customs Act 1901, takes effect 1 January 2007.

Importers, manufacturers and customs brokers handling that chemical are affected because the entry classification and Schedule 4 concession attaching to imports change, altering duty treatment and compliance obligations.
