Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Order cancels a 1999 Tariff Concession Order for certain male-character action figures and replaces it with a new Tariff Concession Order effective 1 January 2007. Mechanically, the goods are reclassified under a different tariff heading and are made subject to Item 50 of Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995. This affects importers of those action figures because the applicable tariff concession (and therefore duty treatment and compliance steps) changes; the change was made by a delegate of the Chief Executive Officer under the Customs Act.
