Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument revokes Tariff Concession Order No. 9510035 and replaces it with Tariff Concession Order No. 0614163, effective 1 January 2007. It changes the tariff classification for textured polypropylene yarn finer than 250 decitex from 5402.39.00 to 5402.34.00 and records the new concession against Schedule 4 item 50. Importers of that yarn will face the new concession/duty treatment; the change was made under s.269SD(2) of the Customs Act 1901 by a delegate of the CEO (Robert Crawford), so importers must use the new classification from the effective date.
