This document cancels a previous import duty discount on specific cooling equipment used in power generators.
What it does:
It revokes Tariff Concession Order 0716975, which had allowed certain "fin-fan" coolers (heat exchangers used to cool generators) to be imported with reduced or zero customs duties.
What changes:
From 12 February 2008, businesses importing these specific coolers—equipped with water/glycol cooling systems, air inlets, pump skids, expansion tanks, and pipes (tariff code 8419.50.90)—must pay standard import duties instead of receiving the concession.
Who is affected:
Importers of industrial generator cooling equipment, particularly those who had previously benefited from the duty concession granted in December 2007.
