What this does
This order cancels a previous tax break (known as a tariff concession) that allowed certain woodchippers and mulchers to enter Australia with reduced or no customs duty.
Who is affected?
Businesses importing woodchippers and mulchers that incorporate a hammer mill (classified under customs tariff code 8436.80.90). These importers will now need to pay standard customs duties instead of benefiting from the previous concession.
