This order cancels a tariff concession that previously let certain mobile crushing and conveying plants for mining (crushers, hoppers, conveyors, crawler-mounted trippers/spreaders, crawlers and generators) be imported duty-free or at reduced duty. From 27 July 2011 affected mining companies and equipment importers must pay standard customs duties on these machines. The change reflects that local manufacture of equivalent equipment is now considered to exist.
