This Order applies item 50 of Part III, Schedule 4 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995 to retractable glue sticks (tariff heading 3506.10.00), so importers may claim the tariff concession from 5 July 2011. It was made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901 and remains in force until revoked under ss.269SC or 269SD. Importers benefit through lower customs duty; the Commonwealth forgoes the corresponding tariff revenue. Claiming the concession requires correct tariff classification and appropriate customs declaration.
