This Order (made under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901) declares that imported goods described as a “remote radio controlled firing system” (Tariff classification 8526.92.00) qualify for the treatment set out at item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995, effective 21 April 2011 until revoked (ss.269SC/269SD). Practically, eligible importers can claim the Schedule 4 tariff treatment; the Commonwealth receives less duty revenue on imports that meet the precise technical description, and importers must match that description to claim the concession.
