Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Order (under s.269P of the Customs Act 1901) declares that rotary feeders for plastic extrusion (tariff heading 8477.80.00) are to be treated as goods covered by item 50 of Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995, effective 20 April 2011 until revoked (ss.269SC/269SD). Mechanically it changes the tariff treatment applied at import, so importers, customs officers and competing businesses must act on the new classification and rely on the Order when lodging customs entries.
