This Tariff Concession Order (effective 13 January 2011) declares that goods described as “MAGNETIC DRUMS, FERROUS MATERIAL REMOVING” classified at 8479.89.90 are goods to which item 50 of Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies. The declaration was made by a delegate of the Chief Executive Officer under section 269P of the Customs Act 1901.
In practice, importers of these drums are the parties affected: the Order changes their tariff treatment by making the Schedule 4 item applicable, creates a need for correct tariff classification to claim the treatment, and can be revoked under sections 269SC/269SD by the administering authority.
