This Order, made under section 269P of the Customs Act 1901, declares that plastic erasers (Tariff classification 3926.10.00) are goods to which Item 50 in Part III of Schedule 4 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995 applies, effective 8 December 2009 until revoked (ss269SC/269SD). It changes the tariff treatment applied at import. Importers bear the practical cost or benefit of that tariff treatment, Customs officials administer it, and the CEO’s delegate (Wendy Knowles) made the decision.
